Play a part in preventing crime

In recent days, there are many vandalism cases happened to cars around Vic Street. There are witnesses who witnessed the whole process.

Unfortunately, the offender is still wanted.

Therefore, some advices are given to prevent and stop crime. 

Advice on how to prevent and stop crime

1. In your neighbourhood create a group called Neighbourhood Watch Group (NWG)
    -To encourage residents to keep an eye for the neighbours' premises to enhance physical security

2. Do not leave any valuable items in the car after you leave

3. Have a good anti-theft device installed in your car

4. Park your car in a well-lit area

5. If you see any suspicious or activity near a vehicle, call the police immediately

Updates of police actions on Vandalism 
Such act (Vandalism) to be done shall be guilty of an offence
Shall be liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding $2,000 or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 years

Suggestions for the Police:
-They may carry out talks for different neighbourhood monthly
-They can also give flyers around (which they did but can be more consistent)
-The design of their poster should change in order to attract more people attention

Actions required to fight terrorism
When terrorism happened:
-Stay home
-Turn on Radio
-Ensure that all windows are closed
-Wait for safety siren to play before stepping out of your flat

Low crime doesn't mean no crime therefore YOU must play a part in preventing and stop crime!
